KW V5 coilover suspension

With the new KW V5 coilover suspension, KW relies on its successful motorsport suspension technology with displacement pistons and modular as well as series-connected damper valves. The KW V5 convinces in sports cars and super sports cars with a precise and fast damping without time delay. Even with short suspension travel, steering movements and minimal road bumps, the dampers and valves react directly.

Compared to conventional coilover and sports suspensions in original equipment and the aftermarket, the V5 utilises our successful damper technology with displacement pistons and modular and series-connected damper valves. In addition, it offers the freedom to further adjust the standard side-mounted valves for the low and high-speed forces of the compression and rebound damping with 14 clicks each exactly to the personally desired driving behaviour. With the KW V5 coilover suspension, a continuously adjustable maximum lowering can also be selected.

- The dampers have easy-to-operate adjustment wheels. Due to the design, the rebound stage can only be adjusted if the piston rod is accessible.
- Aluminium shock absorbers (no Inox-line)

The main aspects are the balance between aerodynamic efficiency and air intake temperature. An open system was chosen but with differences to other aftermarket airboxes. This can be recognised by the shape of the carbon housing and the position and shape of the air filter. The inverted cone-shaped filter ultimately results in the Venturi effect, creating a uniform laminar airflow. The intake system is intended as a complete solution and replaces the OEM airbox system. The goal of building an intake system that works with the OEM ECU map and MAF sensors is achieved through two components. The square OEM airbox housing is replaced by the patented Eventuri housing, which guarantees a laminar, even airflow without resistance, as in all Eventuri intake systems. In addition, the two scoops integrated into the fog lights in this intake system ensure a genuine cold air flow. The difference to the OEM system is immediately noticeable for every M5 driver. The efficiency of the air supply is achieved by the patented Venturi technology in the filter housings.
