Our carbon inlets have a larger volume than the stock inlets by maintaining a larger diameter up to the turbos. The standard inlets narrow immediately after connection to the intake tract, which is a restriction, especially at higher boost pressures. We have eliminated this constriction and made the bend as smooth as possible so that the turbos reach maximum boost pressure earlier. During development, we also tested inlets with larger openings and redesigned the intake tract so that it has an oversized connection to the inlets. However, the tests did not reveal any further advantages, so we continued with this version, which allows us to use our current intake without any modification and at the same time achieve the best performance gains. The intake was tested on the road with Dragy to record acceleration from 60-130mph. The tests were carried out on the same track and on the same day to minimise the variables. The results show that acceleration times from 60-130mph have reduced by 0.12 seconds, which is a significant improvement at these speeds. The flow path from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as the usual OEM airbox designs. So instead of a completely new design, we focused on improving the OEM airbox with less restrictive flow and improved temperature efficiency. We developed replacement filters made of non-woven fabric, which have a much higher flow rate compared to the paper filters. To lower air intake temperatures and force air into the airbox, we designed large front vanes that sit behind the grilles. The carbon vanes direct air into the ducts and effectively insulate the intake side of the airbox. The final piece is the carbon airbox lid, which doesn't increase performance, but allows for a more audible intake sound and gives the engine bay a much needed aesthetic improvement. The Eventuri intake system consists of a series of components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.
