The high performance intercooler features a new competition core (Tube Fin) with the dimensions 660 mm x 282 [254] mm x 120 [65] mm [stepped]. This core offers a 32% larger front surface area and a 279% larger core volume compared to the standard intercooler. Feel the difference and experience improved performance with your Ford Ranger.
The cast aluminum tanks were precisely designed in CAD and optimized in CFD simulations to ensure ideal internal airflow. An integrated air duct in the intercooler inlet ensures even filling and maximum cooling performance. The result is an outstanding cooling effect with minimal back pressure. The newly developed competition high-performance core is also particularly lightweight and ensures sufficient airflow to the adjacent components such as the water cooler. Enjoy optimum cooling of the supercharged air and experience a significant increase in performance.
The Wagner Tuning high-performance intercooler is equipped with a high-quality anti-corrosion coating that offers excellent thermal conductivity and protects the intercooler from environmental influences. The intake system for the F87 Competition is designed to allow the turbos to work more efficiently. By replacing the stock airbox system with our patented venturi filter housings and smooth curved pipes, the airflow to the turbos is more laminar, allowing them to roll with less resistance.
As the Competition has no air openings behind the grilles, we have also added sealed ducts to ensure inlet temperatures remain as low as possible. The combination of our venturi housings, organically shaped pipes and sealed ducts results in an optimised intake that sets a benchmark for this car.
The Eventuri difference
The Competition Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fibre housings with our bespoke Gen 2 filters, allowing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. Not just another cone filter with heat shield, but a unique design that creates the venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo.
