The Eventuri Carbon Intake System for the E60 and E63 is designed to increase engine performance, improve handling and enhance the overall driving experience.
The main aspects are the balance between aerodynamic efficiency and air intake temperature. An open system was chosen but with differences to other aftermarket airboxes. This can be recognised by the shape of the carbon housing and the position and shape of the air filter. The inverted cone-shaped filter, which is also encased in carbon fibre, creates the so-called Venturi effect.
The resulting uniform laminar airflow means that a power increase of +15 hp is realistic.
The airbox is manufactured using the prepreg carbon fibre process.
