Made from 100% high quality prepreg carbon including the inner trumpets, this air collector replaces the stock plastic version and unleashes the roar of the naturally aspirated V8 engine.As the trumpet lengths are tuned to the inner volume, changing this setting can result in a loss of power, so we have kept the same volume so as not to affect the way the car drives in terms of power delivery. Although there is no performance gain from the carbon plenum, the intake noise produced takes the driving experience to a whole new level. We went through several iterations with different material thicknesses to fine tune the sound, and the resulting plenum produces an almost unbelievable intake sound! In many vehicles, brake cooling is already recommended for medium loads, even off the racetrack.This not only improves braking performance, but can also drastically reduce wear on the friction partners.We use the channeling of the air flow to the center of the brake disc to utilize the turbine effect to cool the disc from the inside. In doing so, we direct the airflow at the disc at a specific angle in order to avoid scattering losses and make maximum efficient use of the available air volume.Thanks to the lightweight construction in combination with powdered aluminum, the component is sufficiently strong and at the same time light and robust. Your vehicle is not slow, that's a fact. However, this speed must be reduced as quickly as possible before cornering and this generates enormous heat. The ball joint of your control arm is extremely close to the hot brake disk and will be affected in the long term. This anchor plate therefore provides additional shielding for the bearing, thereby increasing its durability. Our E9X carbon ducts are a direct replacement for the OEM plastic ducts to add the finishing touches to the engine bay. These ducts are made from prepreg carbon and match the rest of our E9X range for the ultimate OEM+ theme. We have also replaced the flexible connector between the ducts and the airbox with an EPDM coupling with our raised V logo. During development we considered adding air scoops to the front duct, but after analysis we realised that there was no performance benefit due to the small opening between the ducts and the airbox, so we decided not to add air scoops. This also leaves the grill openings clear for optimum flow to the radiator. The Eventuri carbon ducts are available in both gloss and matte finishes to match our plenum, intake and airbox lid. The factory intake design has the foundation for excellent performance, but much of it is sacrificed in an effort to fulfil other design requirements. With requirements to support only factory power output, low noise levels and long service intervals, there is plenty of room for improvement. Expect more power and torque across the powerband with a more direct and responsive feel when operating the throttle. Engine and turbocharger noise will be improved and, depending on driving style, fuel consumption may even be reduced. In the endeavour to achieve an ideal pressure ratio (1:1) between inlet and outlet, the intake area has several important features. Through CFD optimisation and validation on the test bench, the filter housing of the intake section has been shaped into a spiral that uses the inertia of the air entering the system to increase the pressure on the outside of the filter. In this way, an even pressure distribution is achieved over the entire surface of the filter and not just at a few key points, maximising the utilisation of the filter area. Compared to many other common intake styles, the APR intake system allows the use of a small, compact filter with better filter utilisation than systems that are often twice the size. Unlike conventional open element filters, the APR intake system only draws air from the grille area near the front edge of the bonnet. In this way, air is drawn in from an area of relatively high pressure. As the speed of the vehicle increases, the pressure builds up further and ultimately supports the effectiveness of the intake system. By sealing the intake system, the pressure created by the ram air effect and the spiral shape is not simply lost in the engine compartment. This is in contrast to filters with open elements, which draw in air from a relatively low pressure range in the engine compartment. The design specifications called for an intake system that would only reproduce the true turbocharger sound of the engine when the air is drawn in through the turbocharger or expelled from the diverter valve when the throttle valve is lifted. The stiffness of the carbon fibre composite material results in engine intake resonance, allowing occupants to hear a clean and clear intake note without sounding intrusive or cheap. This varies depending on the vehicle model and can, for example, be between 30 and 70 millimetres or 50 to 90 millimetres for an individual lowering. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even years later. Depending on the vehicle, the lowering is carried out either on the wheel-guiding KW stainless steel suspension struts or on the rear axle height adjustment for non-wheel-guiding double-wishbone rear axles.
